How Hinges are Made
Waterson began developing auto door closers in 2005. After six dedicated years, we officially launched the Waterson Stainless Steel Auto Door-Closer Hinge. This marked the industry’s first stainless steel closer hinge that featured noiseless closing. Then in 2015, we introduced an innovative hybrid hinge that combines mechanical and hydraulic technology. Today Waterson Closer Hinges are used around the world in commercial and residential applications.
As a certified ISO9001 manufacturer, our products are traceable, consistent, and of the highest quality. All Waterson hinges are rigorously tested in-house and by SGS based on UL-certified testing standards. In 2015 we received the prestigious Leatherman Tool Supplier of the Year award. We are proud of this achievement, as it recognizes our commitment to high-quality manufacturing and capacity production.

Waterson Heavy Duty Investment Casting Door Hinges
Waterson Hinges combines an overhead closer and hinge into one attractive component with optional hold-open and door stop features. These hinges are ideal for commercial openings, gates, and glass doors. The hinges are easily installed and adjusted to comply with ADA & ICC A117.1 requirements for opening force and to assure quiet, secure closing. Made with stainless steel, Waterson door closers meet NFPA 80 and are UL 3-hour fire-rated, as well as being one of the best door hinges for both interior and all-weather exterior openings.
