If you’re new to Waterson Hinges and not sure how to get started, this page is for you.
We get a lot of inquiries every week, and the ones we can turn around the fastest are the ones that come in with the right information upfront. Here’s exactly what we need from you.

What Information Do We Need You to Provide?
Before reaching out, please have the following details ready to send to Waterson Team:
- Project Name and Location (city/state)
- Hinge size and quantity on each door
- Door specifications (height, width, weight, and thickness)
- Interior or exterior use
- Door quantity
- Shipping address (this helps us calculate shipping cost accurately)
- Preferred finish
Next, Please Send Us Some Photos if Applicable (2–3 Photos)
If possible, we would like to have 2-3 photos of your current door application. This will give us a much clearer picture of what you’re working with. By understanding the frame, the opening, and the overall setup, we can recommend the most correct Waterson hinge model to you.
If you’re doing a hinge replacement, please take a photo of your existing hinges and share any details you have on the current hinge size and hinge template/prep. That way, we can match it or flag if something needs to change.
How to Measure Your Door
Follow the 4 steps above to get the measurements we need:
- Step 1: Take a photo of your full door, including the surrounding frame area
- Step 2: Measure the full width and height in inches
- Step 3: Measure your door thickness
- Step 4: Take a photo of your existing hinge and size if applicable
