What is PVD Finish
PVD is a durable, real metal finish that is more tarnish-resistant than ordinary steel. This finish has gone through the process of Titanium Ion Plating, which improves the performance of stainless steel by increasing wear, scratch, and corrosion resistance. Addtionally, the hinge’s durability far superior to conventional coating methods such as electroplating or powder-coating.
Stainless steel allows us to produce a glossy, metallic look that when combined with PVD, is desirable to design professionals. In addition, PVD can potentially increase the performance of the surface with little environmental impact. The PVD process doesn’t inhibit the recycle possibility of stainless steel. This makes the hinges more environmentally friendly than traditional coating and plating processes.

Waterson Closer Hinges combine an overhead closer and hinge into one attractive component with optional hold open and door stop features. These hinges are ideal for commercial openings, gates, and glass doors. The closer hinges are easily installed and adjusted to comply with ADA & ICC A117.1 requirements for opening force and to assure quiet, secure closing.
