Four Seasons Hotel | Westlake Village, California
Project Description
Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is a luxury wellness resort that opened in 2006 in the hills of Southern California. The property needed a compliant closer-hinge solution for four sets of exterior commercial doors. These doors are 8’10” tall and exposed daily to sun, wind, and shifting temperatures. Because the doors were oversized and heavy, the design team required hardware that could deliver reliable self-closing performance, controlled swing, and a durable finish without the upkeep concerns of a conventional closer.
Waterson then recommended K51M-450-A3 mechanical self closing spring door hinges that hold steady across the temperature swings of an exterior setting, while the combined hinge and closer design carries the weight of the tall doors and keeps the sightline clean. Delivered in a satin stainless steel finish, the hardware pairs quiet, adjustable self-closing action with corrosion resistance, giving the resort a low-maintenance solution that matches its polished aesthetic.
