Project Description

KBI Biopharma is a CDMO specializing in biologics drug development for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. They experienced a safety incident where someone’s hand was injured by a door with a standard overhead closer that didn’t slow the closing motion.

Due to the accident, they needed stainless steel anti slam hinges that are safe in medical area clean rooms. There are 25 doors total, some are half-glass and others fully metal, each measuring about 83” high and 43–47” wide. With Waterson hydraulic soft closing door hinges, there are no more safety concerns, ensuring anti-slamming door closure in the clean rooms.
