El Pescador Lodge & Villas | San Pedro, Belize
Project Description
El Pescador Lodge & Villas, founded in 1974, is a family-owned, mahogany colonial-style beachfront fishing resort set on more than 45 private acres on Ambergris Caye, Belize. As part of the property’s ongoing expansion, the owners were building an additional rental home and needed six sets of hinges for the new bedroom doors. Because the villa sits directly on the Caribbean coast, the hardware had to withstand constant salt air and high humidity while delivering a controlled, quiet, self-closing action on every interior door.
Waterson recommended our 316 marine-grade stainless steel hydraulic door hinges for the corrosive, high-humidity coastal conditions of Ambergris Caye. Its concealed hydraulic mechanism provides adjustable, self-closing action without a bulky surface-mounted door closer. For the property, it translates into quieter rooms, doors that close reliably on their own for guest comfort and privacy, and hardware that resists rust and wear far longer than standard hinges in a beachfront setting.
