Project Description

Encore Boston Harbor is Wynn Resorts’ five-star luxury casino resort set along the Mystic River. The property specified two matching door openings that needed a controlled, self-closing action without the visual bulk of a surface-mounted overhead closer. Each opening called for a 4 in. full-mortise hinge in a US4 satin brass finish, with adjustable closing tension and quiet, reliable operation suited to a high-traffic guest environment.

Waterson recommended the K51M-400-B2-US4, a combined hinge and closer that conceals the closing mechanism inside the hinge barrel and removes the need for a separate door closer. Its adjustable spring tension lets the installer tune closing speed on site, while the design supports ADA-friendly opening force and consistent latching. For Encore Boston Harbor, this delivered a cleaner door aesthetic, fewer components to maintain, and dependable self-closing performance that matched the resort’s premium finish requirements.
