Project Description

Raffles Hotel | Boston, MA

Project Description

Raffles Boston, a five-star luxury hotel, required soft-closing hinges for six glass doors with metal frames — one single door and five double doors used in meeting rooms and ballrooms.

The doors are heavy; approximately 0.9 m wide and 2.6–3.0 m high, with each leaf weighing between 105 kg and 168 kg (230–370 lbs). Waterson met their needs by providing heavy duty glass door hinges with hydraulic closing that matched the hotel’s aesthetics.
