It depends on how the gate meets the post. K51P clamps onto square tubing posts from 1 x 1 inch to 4 x 4 inch, K51PS screws on without a backing plate, K51MP mounts as a butt hinge between gate and post, and K51W or K51WP side-mounts where surfaces are uneven. Check the gap drawings before ordering K51P or K51MP.
